Composer Zachary (Zack) P. Patten (b. 1979, Georgia)
On completion of a dietetics degree from FSU and after returning to a music focus in 2003, aspiring composer Zack Patten has accomplished much in his
young musical life. Patten finds passion both as a performer and composer. Classical guitar is his primary instrument of personal expression, but it
is the unrestricted orchestral score that sets his imagination in motion. Zack's soft-spoken, quiet demeanor is juxtaposed with a physical statue
clearly communicating a leader in confident control. Patten is on track to complete his Creative Music Technologies degree from LaGrange College
spring 2006 and plans to attend a marquee northeast graduate/doctoral composition program in the fall. While at LC, Zack studies with Warner Vision
Germany composer/artist Lee Johnson. Patten also maintains memberships in numerous composer organizations, collaborates with fellow music and art
majors, and performs regularly with Morning Glory Ensemble, Patten-Godfrey Guitar Duo, and the Sons of Lafayette. With recent recognition for his
composition and digital short films combined with drive, discipline and dedication to discover deeper meaning in the universal language, Zack Patten
is poised for a very promising composer career.
